Overview: As a nonprofit with a goal of bringing showers to homeless veterans, Showers of Hope’s content revolved around educating followers about homeless veterans and fundraising through community events and GoFundMe.

Responsibilities: One of my responsibilities as Public Relations Director for Showers of Hope was to set up, create a strategy, and grow their social media accounts, with the help of my team. I worked with my team to write, proofread, and edit creative copy; create or source all graphics; and post the content on Instagram and Facebook. I also engaged with followers, responded to messages, and increased overall brand awareness.

Results: During our time managing Shower of Hope’s social media, my team and I increased their Instagram followers by 49%, increased their Facebook followers by 167%, and raised over $1K through traditional and online fundraising.
