Publicity Chair | Delta Epsilon Iota

Overview: As an academic honor society, Delta Epsilon Iota’s content revolved around recruiting new members, promoting member events, and providing career tips and resources.

Responsibilities: As the inaugural publicity chair for DEI Honor Society at California State University Fullerton, it was my responsibility to set up, create a strategy, and grow their social media accounts. I wrote, proofread, and edited creative copy; created or sourced all graphics; and posted or scheduled the content on Instagram and Facebook. I also engaged with followers, responded to messages, communicated with current and potential members, and increased overall brand awareness.

In addition to feed content, I created and oversaw their member’s only Facebook group where I approved new member requests, provided members with exclusive content, facilitated discussions, and responded to comments and messages.

Results: During my time managing DEI’s social media, I increased their Instagram followers by 30%, increased their Twitter followers by 100%, increased their Facebook followers by 185%, and increased their Facebook group membership by over 160%.
