Los Angeles Angels Postcard

Los Angeles Angels Postcard | 714Tickets

March 2017

Overview: As a ticket broker, 714Tickets’ content revolved around the latest news and events in sports, concerts, and the theatre industry. Located next to the Los Angeles Angels home stadium of Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA, a vast majority of their customers are Angels fans, tourists, and season ticket holders. The postcard was a way to provide information about 714Tickets and their mini packs before the upcoming Los Angeles Angels season to these groups and amongst the community with the goal of converting them to customers. 714Tickets created these mini packs to fill a void within the ticket industry by providing an affordable way for fans to attend several popular games for one low price.

Responsibility: It was my responsibility to create and design the 714Tickets Los Angeles Angels postcard to promote 714Tickets and their mini packs for the 2017 Angels season.

Design: The front of the postcard was designed to convey as much information about 714Tickets as possible. It featured their logo, a map of their location to resemble a baseball, key business information, and social media links. I also included a discount code to entice potential customers and to track KPIs. The background image used on the front was that of a baseball field with a red transparent background layered on top to give it a subtle look, but still legible. The white space on the front bottom right was intentionally left blank to leave room for the payment stamp and recipient address for mailing.

The back of the postcard was designed to convey as much information about the mini packs as possible. The back featured each mini pack’s name, price, game dates, and opponents. Each mini pack square was a replication of the design used to promote the mini packs on social media. The background image used on the front was that of a transparent infield and baseball to give it a subtle look, but still legible.

Once complete, the postcard was reviewed several times. After it was approved by the owner, it was professionally printed locally a few weeks before the start of preseason.

Distribution: Once the postcard was printed, it was mailed locally within the community. It was also distributed by foot door-to-door in other neighborhoods within the community. In addition, any remaining postcards were displayed in 714Tickets on the counters and handed directly to customers. The postcard allowed the recipients to plan for games they wanted to attend and also purchase mini packs and tickets in advance for popular games.
